Why Thousand Walks Exists

A thousand walks. That's the deal.

When a dog moves in, you sign up for roughly a thousand walks. A few thousand car rides. Ten thousand bowl refills. That's the actual job of loving a dog — and it's the job this store exists to make easier.

We live this. That's the whole origin story.

Thousand Walks is run by a dog household, not a dropshipping desk — five dogs, to be exact: Zeus and Coco the chow chows, Yogi and Preston the shih tzus, and Polo the golden retriever. The back seat that gets jumped on with muddy paws, the water bowl that's somehow empty at 2pm again, the fur on everything — that's our daily life. Every product here started as something we wished existed for them, hunted down, and then held to a standard most stores in this aisle don't bother with.

The house rules — how we decide what to sell you

Spec sheet or silence. We only claim what a supplier's engineering sheet actually states. Our seat cover says 440 lbs because the spec sheet says 440 lbs — and we show you the sheet.
Doesn't fit? Keep it. 30 days. Send a photo — full refund, no return shipment, and you keep the product. Give it to a friend it does fit. One per household.
We publish the fail cases. Every product page tells you who it's NOT for, before you pay. No rear headrest posts? We tell you not to buy the cover. We'd rather lose the sale than win an argument.
No theater. No fake countdowns. No invented discounts. No "only 3 left." The price is the price, and it's honest the day you visit and the day after.
Few products, each earns its place. We don't stock an aisle — we solve rituals: the car ride, the water bowl, whatever daily dog logistics deserve solving next. A product joins when it passes these rules. Most don't.

Where this is going

The plan isn't a hundred products. It's the short list of things a dog household actually leans on, each one held to the rules above — and a store you can send another dog person to without a disclaimer.
