The Shed Catcher — 5-Tool Vacuum Groomer
The hair goes into the bin. Not onto your floor, your couch, or your car.
Every de-shedding brush has the same flaw: it takes the hair off the dog and hands it to your living room. The Shed Catcher is a different machine — every tool connects to a vacuum line, so the hair is pulled into a sealed 2.5-liter bin as it comes off the coat.
How it works — the one idea
A brush moves hair from the dog to the air. A vacuum line moves it from the dog to a bin. That is the entire difference. The de-shedding head, the brush heads and the clipper all sit on the same suction line, so the hair never gets a chance to float, settle, or ride out to the car on your jeans.
From the supplier's spec sheet — not our marketing
- ≥10 kPa suction — the supplier's figure; we have not put a gauge on it
- 2.5 L bin — sealed; empties into the trash
- ≤65 dB operation — supplier-rated noise ceiling, roughly conversation volume
- 5 grooming tools in the kit: de-shedding head, brush heads, cordless clipper with vacuum pickup, crevice and nozzle attachments
- 6 guard combs for different coat lengths; detachable, washable blade
- 3 suction modes — start on low for a dog that's new to it
What we claim — and what we don't
- Hair is pulled into a sealed bin as it comes off the coat — SUPPLIER SPEC SHEET. That's the mechanism and the reason to buy it.
- 10 kPa · 65 dB · 2.5 L — SUPPLIER FIGURES. Their numbers, not our measurements.
- It stops shedding — NOT CLAIMED. Nothing stops shedding. This changes where the hair ends up.
- How many de-sheds one bin lasts — NOT CLAIMED. We haven't counted, and it depends on the dog.
- Your dog will tolerate the noise — NOT CLAIMED. Some dogs take to a vacuum near them, some don't. Start on the low mode; if yours won't have it, use the guarantee.
- Any skin or coat health benefit — NOT CLAIMED. It's a vacuum with grooming heads.
- We manufacture it — NOT CLAIMED: we choose units and stand behind them with the guarantee; we don't build them.
Don't buy it if
Your dog bolts from the household vacuum and you're not up for a slow introduction. You want it to replace a groomer for a matted coat — it de-sheds and clips, it doesn't de-mat. Or you're hoping the shedding itself stops; it won't, and we'd rather say so.
The honest math
One mobile-groomer visit runs $75–$120. This is $109.95 at the founding price, once. It rises to $129.95 at order #100 — the only price change we will announce, and there is no countdown. Comparable vacuum-groomer kits from the big ad brands were listed at $199.95–$333 in August 2026 — we publish the spec sheet and skip the fake sale instead.
